Qualifications
- Education: Appropriate documented training from technical/vocational institute.
- Experience: Electrical wiring and mechanical skills, knowledge of general repair and plumbing, carpentry ability, proficiency with repair tools and techniques.
- Language Skills: Basic knowledge of English or Malay language is mandatory as well as the ability to speak, read and write clearly. Second language preferred
Job Scope:
- Perform general routine maintenance around the building, including fixing structural damage such as window, door, or wall repair.
- Repair broken or leaking plumbing to prevent water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
- Address damaged electrical wiring in case of shortages or severed wires.
- Apply preventative measures to reduce future problems, such as using sealant on flat roofs.
- Fix potential safety hazards to prevent injuries.
- Paint the building when old paint becomes faded or chipped.
- Conduct pre and post-inspections of hotel equipment, machines, and public lighting to ensure smooth operation.
- Collaborate closely with Housekeeping to provide technical and maintenance support and complete assigned tasks.
- Maintain records and logbooks for special service contractors, documenting repairs and work orders.
- Assist the Executive Housekeeper in regularly monitoring response times for completing repairs to measure contractor performance.
Salary Range : Junior RM1,700 -RM1,900/Senior RM2,000-RM2,500
Supplemental Pay : Rm200 Transport + RM50 Phone + Rewards (TBC) + Bonus+Ot
